Emergency 911 (E911) Service Disclosure

Important Regulatory Notice for VoIP and SIP Trunking Subscribers

1. Key Differences From Traditional Wireline 911

VoIP 911 emergency services operate differently than traditional analog copper phone services. It is essential that you understand how VoIP E911 functions and its operational limitations before activating any SIP trunk or cloud PBX extension.

2. Registered Physical Address Requirement

E911 calls route based on the registered physical address provided to Cloud Cubix during trunk provisioning. If your SIP equipment or softphone user is relocated to another building or office without updating your registered address in our portal, emergency personnel may be dispatched to the wrong location.

3. Power & Internet Outages

VoIP service requires an active broadband internet connection and electric power. During a power failure or ISP network outage, VoIP phones will not operate unless equipped with battery backup systems (UPS) and redundant network connectivity.
